Psalm 98:7-9: “Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together… for he cometh to judge the earth” (KJV).
Isaiah 17:12: “Woe to the many nations that rage— they rage like the raging sea! Woe to the peoples who roar— they roar like the roaring of great waters!” (NIV).
Isaiah 5:30: “In that day they will roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof” (KJV).
Psalm 65:7: “Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples” (KJV).
Luke 21:25: “There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and waves” (ESV, paraphrased).
